## **A Devotional Journal, Volume One: Matthew**

## **Barbara Scott,** **Challenge**

What an excellent little book!

Barbara Scott has laid it out so well. It will especially work for people who are unable to share in Bible study groups or who wish to do their daily devotions in this form.

This volume is worked on the book of Matthew, with comments on a suggested reading.

Then there are questions to take the reader further into exploration and exegesis and suggestions for using the words of scripture in our lives.

A prayer follows to carry with you for the day.

Each page is faced with a page for writing down the reader’s own thoughts or prayers.

The journal is written using the SOAP method of devotional reading:

- Read the *Scripture*
- Write down what you *Observe*
- *Ask* how it *Applies* to your life
- *Pray* about what you have read.

Walking with Jesus is written to help develop and grow a quality relationship with God. It is not a comprehensive study of Matthew, just a selection of some of the writings.

It is nicely presented with a spiral binding for ease of use as a notebook. It would be an excellent gift for a like-minded friend or colleague.
