The Lion Storyteller Christmas Book was my favourite among these. It is a large, hard cover book filled with beautifully written Christmas stories. It is divided into three sections:

Christmas Stories from the Bible: 13 stories beginning with A Surprise for Zechariah and ending with King Herod’s Evil Plan. This is ideal for Sunday school teachers; 13 weeks less preparation before and/or after Christmas when you won’t have to choose a story for the little children.

Stories about Christmas Traditions, which includes stories from all over the world explaining the origins of Christmas traditions, such as putting stockings by the fireplace, the decorations on a Christmas tree and the story behind the Christmas carol, Good King Wenceslas.

Christmas Tales and Legends, which includes tales of animals, small children and trees and magic.

I read this book in one afternoon and enjoyed every story.
