This is a stupendous, highly trained, masterful and intellectual piano performance.

Jeffersonsays his repertoire grew from one of his doctoral projects, where he presented a lecture-recital on the subject of impromptus by a variety of composers. He chose styles including classical, impressionist, gospel and jazz with musical influences including J. S. Bach, John Work, Bill Evans, Burt Bacharach, Maurice Ravel, Franz Schubert and Frédéric Chopin.

I can’t praise this CD highly enough. Just go out and buy it.
