Child of Bethlehem

Child of Bethlehem is a picture book that tells the story of events leading up to Jesus’ birth, his birth and the visits from the shepherds and the wise men. It’s also written in verse.

The illustrations are lots of fun, with a continual theme of small children and animals, who appear in many of the pages. I became particularly fond of a small boy with a pudding bowl hair cut and his pet hen.
